Microbubble diffusers, also known as fine bubble diffusers or microbubble aerators, are specialized devices used in wastewater treatment plants and other aeration systems. These diffusers are designed to release extremely small bubbles into the water, enhancing oxygen transfer and improving the efficiency of the aeration process.
Microbubble diffusers consist of a long, cylindrical tube or pipe made of a porous material, typically ceramic or synthetic polymers. The porous material contains numerous micro-sized orifices or pores, which allow for the release of a large number of tiny bubbles. These bubbles, due to their small size, have a larger surface area compared to larger bubbles and stay suspended in the water for a longer time, facilitating efficient oxygen transfer.
